Create A Collection

Create A Collection, from The EDM Guide to Shopify. This covers all 6 sections, in about 1 minute.

Open Collections to see every collection your store has.

Click Add collection to start a new one.

Add the title shoppers will see on the collection page.

The description explains the collection. It takes the same rich formatting as a product description.

Choose which sales channels can show this collection.

Add products manually instead if you would rather hand pick every item. You cannot switch between the two later, so choose before you continue.

Click Add condition to build an automated collection.

Search for what the condition checks. Tag is the most maintainable choice.

Type a tag to match against, or pick one already in use.

Every matching product joins the collection automatically, now and in future.

Theme template lets a collection use a different page layout than the rest of your store.

That's how you build an automated collection. Click Save at the top when you're ready.
