Add Variants To A Product, from The EDM Guide to Shopify. This covers all 5 sections, in about 1 minute.

Open Products to find the item you want to add variants to.

Click the product to open it.

Variants are the sizes, colours and materials of one product, each with its own price, SKU and stock.

Click to add an option, such as size or colour.

Choose to create a custom option.

Name the option, for example Size.

Type a value and press Enter to add it.

Add as many values as you need.

Click Done. Shopify creates a variant row for every combination automatically.

Set price and stock for each variant here, or select several rows to bulk edit.

Open a single variant to add its own SKU or barcode.

Weight and images unlock once you save the product.

Close this without changing anything else.

That's how you add variants. Click Save at the top when you're ready.
