Set Up A Company, from The EDM Guide to Shopify. This covers all 7 sections, in about 1 minute.

Companies are Shopify's B2B customer records. Each one holds locations, contacts, payment terms and the catalogue its buyers see.

Click Add company to create one.

Name the company. This appears in customer accounts and at checkout.

Company ID links this record to an external system, or leave it blank and Shopify creates one.

The main contact is the customer who orders on the company's behalf. Search your existing customers here.

Every company gets at least one location, and the rules live there: ordering, payment terms and catalogues attach to locations, not the company itself.

Each location ships to its own address.

Assign a catalogue to the location so its buyers sign in to their own products and prices.

Payment terms, for example net 30, are set per location too.

Checkout rules decide where orders ship and whether they need approval before they are submitted.

Click Save, and the company is ready for its buyers.
